Focalpoint Optics is a family owned independent optics business dedicated to its customers. Tony & Enid Murphy established a part-time business from a bungalow in Comberbach in 1972 and word soon spread through the birding community that two very experienced birders who knew optics could not only give great unbiased advice on optics buy also supply them! In 1982 the decision was taken to establish Focalpoint Optics as a full-time retail establishment.
Over the following years, the reputation of Focalpoint optics grew and so did the number of customers.
The decision was made to move from the bungalow into a small converted barn in Higher Whitley to allow the business to grow.
In 1995 Tony & Enid retired and the reins of Focalpoint were handed over to Yvonne and family to continue the Focalpoint business.
The business has continued to flourish and has grown under the guidance of Yvonne aka The Optics Girl.
In 2017 the decision was made to relocate to a more accessible and larger showroom in Antrobus to allow Focalpoint to continue to meet it's customer's needs and allow Focalpoint to thrive for the next 50 years plus.
We pride ourselves on our friendly, unbiased advice and on our wide range of specialist equipment from telescopes, binoculars, tripods, outdoor clothing, and accessories.
We are situated in Antrobus Cheshire only 10 minutes from Marbury Country Park.
Visitors to our showroom will be impressed with the excellent viewing available, (we even have a lake), however, if you are unable to call in, Our website contains lots of useful information & features and online ordering that's quick, easy, safe & secure.
It is important that you choose the correct equipment to suit your personal requirements and this is the key philosophy behind the Focalpoint way of selling optics and associated products.
If you call in, you will be able to compare as many different model options as you like in peace and quiet. We have no pushy commission-led salespeople at Focalpoint.
All involved at Focalpoint are birdwatchers of varying abilities. Paul (The Doc) is a top birder and known locally for his bird watching abilities in the field, Yvonne is an enthusiastic birdwatcher and nature lover and loves to be out and about when work & family allow.
We do not sell own branded or "grey" products because of the problems that can arise should anything go wrong. We do not "grey" import products directly for the same reason.
Our online store offers next day delivery in the UK, and we operate a FREE call-back service should you need it.
We will also deal match if you find a genuinely better offer from a reputable official UK optics dealer.
We welcome part exchange and also offer commission sales on quality used equipment for customers, we also undertake repairs of optical equipment.
